How many people who open their restaurant achieve
their goal? What do you think? According to statistics in South Korea, it’s less
than 20%. However, we think it is easy to start own restaurant business. That
is because all of the restaurants we have been are included in the 20%. What
factor makes successful business or not? They just kept these following
procedures.
First, select item what you want to start
your business with. This item should be the one thing you can focus on. Don’t
jump on the trend if you want to keep your restaurant going. The item you’ll
choose should not be something special which nobody makes but you. Just choose
the item you like and you won’t lose your interest of the item.
After choosing the item, segmentalize your
restaurant. That is, target your customer. This step is the best important stage
to succeed your restaurant. Even if there are plenty of restaurant which serve
the same item as yours, don’t be frustrated. Through this step, your restaurant
will be totally different from their ones. Your main customer would be women,
in 20s, or a family. You also have to set the price of dishes while targeting
customer.
After that, find appropriate location for
the restaurant. In accordance with the segmentation, the best location will be
varied even for the same item. The important things in this process are
checking up several factors. Check atmosphere around the village and
competitor. Notice that your competitor is not the restaurant which serve the
similar item but the restaurant which targets the same customer market.
Next, decorate your restaurant with matching
your focused segmentation. Your restaurant doesn’t have to have fascinating
interior. Just make the place cozy where people can feel comfortable. And if
you have astonishing sense in adoring interior, add your own your taste. Your
special taste makes it more attractive than other restaurant.
Finally, you will meet the last stage. At
least once, everybody has decided not to go to the restaurant because of the
poor service. However tasty the dish is, if the restaurant has bad reputation
in service, the restaurant won’t last long. So strict training of staff for the
best service is inevitable.
Keep in mind these steps. While you are
running a restaurant, this procedure will not be finished. Because of the final
stage, you have to keep thinking about your business. This might sounds trite
for you who want to have an own restaurant, but this is the shortest way to
launch your restaurant successfully.
